And soon both of the children were just a small heap of... everything, basically. And April, fulfilled at least for now, left the room.

Max was shaking and breathing heavily, trying to stay on his feet, before sliding down beside her. For a second he looked at her, and then looked to the glass door. The curtain had been open, he realized.

He'd find Emilia leaning outside of her window, a shocked look on her face as she looked at the window to his bedroom. It was rather apparent she saw all of it.

Upon seeing her, he ducked out of site for a moment, hesitant to have her see them after... well... that. After a second, he shyly peaked back out of the curtains.

If Max's vision was stable enough, he'd see the woman mouth 'Are you okay?' towards him when she noticed the boy.

A few seconds later, she'd see him coming back out, holding his shoulder in discomfort, but nodding. If HER vision was stable enough, she'd see him blushing.

Below, Max saw the lights in the living room turn off. He stood as still as a statue, afraid to move while he heard vague, angry stomps up the stairs behind the door to the room. Once they'd faded away, he quietly straightened up, looking around the landing, and then back up to Emelie.

Max's breath got caught then. His eyes remained fixed at her window while he backed up to the screen door, arm snaking inside, ready to run back in at a moment's notice.
