In modern-day New York City, there are over 85 theaters and performance venues stationed throughout. There are at least 5 performers for each show, or even upwards of 150 counting the chorus. 'Course, these are always narrowed down from the first people who audition- say 350 before callbacks narrow it down to about 200 for the larger plays.
Well, this story isn't about some people suddenly getting the lead role in Les Miserables or a prima donna suddenly getting her comeuppance to a chorus part in an upstart production.
No, no, no... this is about the underdogs... those who at best get chorus and at worse don't even make the first call back. We're not saying they're terrible, but who knows? With so many people, they're bound to get a big break...
...Just not in any one else's productions but their own, in a tiny, run-down, down-trodden, off-Broadway theater...

NAME: Buffy (short for a name she dislikes to say) Ferrell AGE: 18 APPEARANCE: www.tektek.org/avatar/49892533HIGHEST ROLE EVER HAD: Played the eponymous role in ‘Alice in Wonderland’ in elementary school. BIO: Buffy was born in a rather rural town in Georgia, to a poor family. She went to a tiny public school- a ‘little red schoolhouse’ in fact. She’s the most innocent, naïve and sheltered of her group, her parents having accompanied their little girl up here for moral support. Has a potential (that’s often pondered upon by others) to be a sex icon in the future.

Name: Alissah Freeman Age: 20 Appearance: Experience: Was an extra in her two high school plays (fall play junior year, spring musical senior year). Bio: Alissah's mom is a Glee fanatic. As such, she realized that she and her husband couldn't squash their daughter's dreams of being a stage actress by forcing her into a more "normal" career. The only problem? Aliyah doesn't have any dreams of being a stage actress. She wants to be an engineer. Her mother refused to hear a word of this, convinced that Aliyah's stage dreams had merely been suppressed because her parents weren't supportive enough, and is sure they'll come out in time. For now, Aliyah's going along with it because her parents are paying her through NYU as long as she acts on the side. She dreads the day when she has to tell them what major she's picking.
