It was a bizarrely sunny day in the state, with a redhead waking up for the first time that day as her alarm buzzed in her ear. The girl groaned, slapping the off button as she opened her eyes.
"Gahhhh, it's too fucking early..." She muttered, shifting out of bed and opening her eyes- she noted her voice was... higher than she remembered.
...then she saw her room. Boyband posters plastered around the walls, her TV an old, 20inch CRT with a Playstation hooked up to it and the cases to a few games on the floor- Final Fantasy VII, Guilty Gear, Xenogears, and SaGa Frontier if you wanted to be exact.
"...What the hell?!" She screamed, her eyes almost bugging out of her skull.

Lily had gotten up a bit earlier than usual- around 4:30 instead of her usual 5 or 6 o'clock. She wasn't really sure what made her get up so early, but nonetheless, it happened. The second she had turned over to glance at the clock was when she realized that... something wasn't quite right. She was in that all-too-familiar room, with lavender walls and the black bedspread, and the full-length mirror next to her bathroom. Luxury she didn't get at the ward, and certainly didn't get at the college either.
She sat up, scratching her head, taking her surroundings in further. Yes, this was her childhood room. There was no doubt about it. She lifted herself up slightly and scootching back to turn on the lights.
After her eyes adjusted and she looked to the mirror, she knew something was deeeefinitely wrong. Her hair was shorter, her body plumper, her face younger with less lines to it. She stared at her reflection for a long while, then stood up and walked over to it, touching it and herself to see that it was all really real. She gave a soft gasp and fell back onto her bed.
"This... this can't be happening."

May took a gasp of air, trying to calm down. This wasn't her dorm, and this wasn't the ward. Any of the things she had still were at her mother's, and she sure as hell wasn't there.
Moments passed as she calmed down, and pushed herself out of bed and darting down the hall, into the bathroom. She looked in the mirror- her face was much more youthful, a mark from a popped zit covered by a bandaid, and her figure in general less... adult. She was fourteen again.
...The girl gave a blood curdling scream then.

Lily eventually stood up, going into her bathroom. She might as well enjoy this for the time, after all. So what did she do? She curled her hair, went through her closet and found her favorite outfit, dressed up nice, and went downstairs to make breakfast. If the timing was right, her family would be here- so she made pancakes, and made enough to feed an army. A small army. A small army on rations.
And sure enough, as the sun rose so did the family, all coming down and wondering why the hell she was so chipper and bright and ready for anything and certainly making them pancakes.

"...Lily, are you feeling alright?" One of her brothers asked, grabbing a plate as he sat down. --- The newly-teenage May decided to run downstairs, and peak around the living room to see if anyone else was awake. Surely someone had to be up by now...

"Of course! Why wouldn't I be?"
~~~~~~~~~
And for the most part, she was right... well, her little brother was down there on the couch, sleeping, the TV on cartoons. It was obvious he'd probably come down there during the night.
"You're way too upbeat. And you hate making pancakes. You sure you ain't a demon or somethin'?" --- "...Max?" She asked in disbelief, shaking her head and cautiously stepping forward, to the couch.
"I'm sure," she laughed. "Just having a good morning."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Her little brother didn't make a sound and didn't really move. He was genuinely passed out, his mouth slightly open, his hair tousled and his glasses hanging from his face.

"...That's exactly what a demon would say." The boy teased as he took the plate to the table --- May sat down next to her brother then, gently shaking him awake. "Max? You feeling okay?"

"Yes, and a demon would also poison your pancakes, asshole."
~~~~~~~~~
The boy gave a light whimper, refusing to wake up while murmuring something about having a bad dream last night and burying his face into her thigh.
"Max, you gotta go to school." May replied flatly, turning off the TV with the remote, cutting off a commercial for the Pokemon movie that came out that day, something she knew her brother was dying to see- and she did manage to get tickets for the day. She knew it was 1999, at least. "Can't just..."
May trailed off then. This was the day her brother killed himself. She remembered the day vividly- she got up before her mother did, who didn't have any work that day, her dad already having left for work. She tumbled downstairs to find her brother on the couch, asleep with the TV running, and forcing him awake for some reason. She tried getting her mother to let them stay home because of the tickets, but didn't... exactly mention why she wanted to stay home.
And that night, she brushed off her sobbing brother, who had mentioned his bully problems and lack of friends, to talk to her friend on the phone. Said that she was busy, and that she'd deal with it after school tomorrow.
She regretted that choice the next morning.
"...Max, how 'bout you go upstairs and go to bed?" She told him softly, patting his head. She realized what this was- a second chance to fix her past. "Sleep in my room, if you'd like. I've got a surprise for you when you get up."
He looked up to her, raising an eyebrow groggily.
"We're skipping school today?" He asked. His voice gave a sharp crack.
After breakfast, Lily went to the window, looking out. It was blustery and cold, the trees leaves gone. Some people's houses, she could see, had little turkeys in the window- undoubtedly the elementary kids had started doing things for Thanksgiving already.
Even so, something was wrong. This wasn't her street- it wasn't even the same town. She was on a cute little suburban roundabout, with cute little houses and a cute little forest far away.
Then, walking up to her porch, was Alan Young- head quarter back and total dreamboat. Her ex boyfriend, carrying a single red rose.
Now she remembered- this was the same boyfriend who shamed her because if this babyfat, wasn't it? Had made her feel so bad that she... that she... well.
She wasn't going to let that happen again.
"Yeah, kiddo." May smiled, looking down at her brother warmly. She was acting... bizarrely compassionate today. It was weird to the boy, in all likeliness. May, even if she was practically doting to her brother, was always rather self-centered, taking everything for granted.
"Just let your big sister Belle talk to mom when she gets up, okay?" The teen told her younger brother. It was a rather nostalgic time for her, obviously- especially back when she let people call her 'Belle'.
One of those things that she came to resent after today, really.
((Should I play the boytoy or not?))
((Yes please xD))
Even if it was strange, and he was confused, he was still relishing in it. He gave her leg a final snuggle, and then, rubbing his eyes and taking off his glasses, went upstairs to bed.
His sister went into the kitchen and began cooking breakfast, waiting for her mother to wake up. --- Lilly would hear a gentle tapping on the door, her brown-haired, broadly built boyfriend waiting outside patiently.
Soon, the middle aged, dark-haired woman came down, wrapped in a robe and smoking a cigarette.
"What're you doing up so early?"
~~~~~~~~
Putting on a perfect face of excitement, Lily opened the door, gave a squeal and hugged him around the neck.
"Is this for me?!"

"Oh, nothin'. Alarm went off too early, couldn't get back to sleep." May replied, flipping an egg. "Want anything, mom? Have somethin' to ask you." --- The boy gave a startled yelp as Lily lunged at him, tumbling back slightly. "...Yes?" He asked, before realizing he still had the rose in hand. "Yyyyeah, got it this morning."

"Eggs, please Baby. What?"

She grinned, taking it from him.
"It's beautiful!"

"Weeeeeeeeeeeeeell..." She began, cracking another egg. "I know you and Daddy are having... issues, and Max does too, so I thought I'd do something nicefor him..." --- The boy pinched the girl's cheek then. "Gotta treat my babydoll right."

"Issues?" April asked. "And... like what?"
~~~~~
She giggled, kissing his cheek.
"I love you."
